A landscape photographic series
PANORAMAS
Following the horizonGundolf PfotenhauerThe pleasure of the wide view.
I have always been drawn to the wide view of a landscape. A panorama gives me the space to look slowly, to follow the horizon and to notice how land, sky and distance belong together.
Making these photographs is a patient process. I stay with a place, watch the light change and build the image from several views until it holds the feeling of standing there.

A landscape as a whole.
The panoramic format is not simply wider. It changes the way I see. My eye can travel across the image, from one detail to another, while still understanding the scale and character of the entire place.
I am especially interested in landscapes shaped by time: hills, fields, ravines and old towns where weather and human life have left visible traces.

PANORAMAS comes from my passion for landscape photography and from the beauty I find in open space.
Each photograph is an invitation to pause, look across the distance and experience a place as a whole.
