OLIVE TREES
Shaped by timeGundolf PfotenhauerOld trees, full of life.
I am drawn to these ancient olive trees for their twisted trunks, deep folds and the beautiful textures of their bark. Each one has its own shape, formed slowly over many years. I like to photograph them from a distance, then move closer to the details. There is something wonderful about trees that grow so old and still give us so much: olives for the table and the rich, fragrant oil that makes even a simple meal special.
